COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for WHO


The world has never faced a crisis like COVID-19. The pandemic is impacting communities everywhere. It’s never been more urgent to support the global response, led by the World Health Organization (WHO).  

Donations support WHO’s work, including with partners, to track and understand the spread of the virus; to ensure patients get the care they need and frontline workers get essential supplies and information; and to accelerate research and development of a vaccine and treatments for all who need them.

Some donations also support additional Fund partners UNICEF, the World Food Programme, the UN’s refugee agency (UNHCR), the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), and the vaccine development alliance CEPI.

Donors from Canada, China, Japan, or certain European countries, and the UK, may wish to give online to our Fund partners in these countries.

As of 09/28/2020 the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund has raised or committed

from more than 619,000 individuals, companies and philanthropies.

Online donations made via this website are tax deductible in the U.S. to the extent allowable by law. The UN Foundation accepts checks or wire transfers from anywhere in the world, and may be able to provide tax benefits to U.S.-based donors. Through partnerships with the Swiss Philanthropy Foundation, the Japan Center for International Exchange, China Population Welfare Foundation (CPWF), individuals and corporations in select European countries, the UK, Canada, Japan, and China may be able to make tax-deductible donations through our partners in these areas. Allocations from the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund are decided by WHO in line with its Strategic Preparedness and Response Plan, and will include UNICEF, vaccine development alliance CEPI (Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations), and other partners.
